Beauty Write for Us

Beauty is not just about appearance. It is also not just about perfect skin or flawless makeup. It is a mental health tool as well. Developing the art of self-love, for example, the use of peaceful skin routines, the dismissal of negative self-talk, or the act of accepting oneself flawlessly, helps support self-esteem and the development of one’s vision in life.

At GABA Telepsychiatry, we understand that worries about meeting beauty standards can be associated with mental health symptoms and disorders in many people. These issues are often exacerbated by societal pressures to “look the part” and “try” to live up to an “ideal body image” among peers. Many sometimes fall into a deep negative opinion about themselves, depression, anxiety, anorexia nervosa, or low self-worth.

Like everyone, even beauty pageant, fashion models, and other famous beauty personalities, and courageous people also struggle with these challenges in life due to keeping up with thin-skinny perfection, along with keeping their contacts and personal satisfactions. On the other hand, failing to maintain this leads to chronic shame, body dysmorphic disorder (BDD), or other problems.

Sometimes, simple practices, including discipline with daily personal routines, like skincare or minding grooming, help create a connection with finding inner peace and stillness. Sometimes, to keep up with good mental health, many need beyond self-care and good self-talk. Sometimes, they need professional help and therapy. Keep in mind that seeking professional help is not a sign of weakness but one of the best secret tools of nourishing natural beauty.

Whether you are a mental health professional, a health specialist, a beauty coach, a skin specialist, an image consultant, or a person who has gone through beauty-related mental health issues, or experience the surprising self-beauty development, we encourage you to write for us from personal experience. Tell us about the approach you have taken in overcoming insecurities, loving oneself, developing the right beauty habits, and motivators during tough days (e.g., financial issues, career breakdown, conflict relationship with yourself or loved ones) in terms of beauty care or other aspects with the utmost care and respect.

Each person has a way of treating beauty in their life that is unique to them. The success of the body, the different methods you used, and all those activities that strengthen you through the eve of fear can be a source of motivation to see the beauty of the real selves, or serve as a therapy for many in distress with the feeling of inferiority or society’s standards of beauty.
